This page talks about the value of paying attention to the ownership base of certain stocks. For example, as of March 2011, it looked like good home building stocks were starting to rise. The excessive homes that were built in the previous decade were finally getting absorbed. IYR is the real estate ETF that has climbed double-digits in the last six months (March 2011) along with Lennar, LEN. JCHS gives valuable statistics on what housing demand has been in the past and what it might be in the future.
